Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson has had some iconic looks throughout his wrestling and acting career. But even a “people’s hero” isn’t afraid to roast himself from time to time. This week he uploaded a photo of himself from the MTV Video Music Awards of what looks like his WWE days, and he didn’t even have an explanation for his outfit choice. He wrote, “Our #YoungRock season 2 made me reminisce on my early wrestling days, let me be the first to say…..what in Cinnamon Toast Crunch F – I was thinking of wearing this shiny gold button-down outfit with a rattlesnake shoes. “
Then on Thursday, he retweeted a photo of him from his high school days with the caption “16-year-old Dwayne Johnson looks older than current Dwayne Johnson.” Johnson joked, “Yes as I approach my 50th birthday – even at 16, I always bring new meaning to the term ‘it’s an old soul’.”
this week Young Rock It caught the attention of wrestling fans, as a scene from 1996 featured a child actor playing young Roman Reigns, who then challenged a young Johnson to a match. Johnson’s representative responded by saying that this match could only happen at WrestleMania, which was the show’s way of acknowledging the dream match between Rock and Reigns that fans have been waiting to see.
Johnson spoke with ComicBook last November and talked about the possibility of a WWE comeback, saying, “I don’t know if I’ll have another title, considering I’m the People’s Champion, but I don’t know if that’s another title. I think it’s likely, as You know, there might be another match on the way. It should make sense.”
He later added, “It seems like Roman, you know, I’m obviously very close to Roman, and we talk about this all the time, and I still encourage him to keep doing what you want, and keep honing those skills.” “I think he’s doing a great job with his promotion, his management, his in-house work. Everything keeps getting better and growing. And that’s always the best part, I think, about the world of professional wrestling is that when someone gets a swipe and gives the ball a run, they either score a touchdown. with it or they don’t.
